This book is presented as an academic contribution to the field of
English Language Teaching (ELT), with a particular focus on language
policy and its implementation in Indonesian Islamic educational institutions.
As English continues to play an increasingly significant role in global
communication, educational institutions are challenged to integrate it
meaningfully while maintaining religious values and local cultural identities.
This volume brings together research-based studies that examine
various dimensions of language policy and classroom practice. The chapters
explore institutional policies, classroom implementation, language use, and the
challenges and opportunities encountered by teachers and learners. While the
primary focus of this volume is on Islamic educational institutions in
Indonesia, several studies are also situated in general educational settings,
offering broader perspectives on language policy and ELT practices.
